The Shar-Pei is a Chinese breed with southern origins. Known for their deep wrinkles in the West, Hong Kong Shar-Peis are less wrinkled. Ranked 64th on the American Kennel Club’s list of preferred breeds, their soft face, strong body, and behavior towards strangers all play a part in their reputation.
